I was first attracted to the OPC franchise because of the product. The greeting cards, gift wrap and bags were great quality, with bright designs and I could see that they would sell really well in the Perth market.
At the time I was looking at a number of different franchise opportunities, but OPC won me over not only with the product but with the fact that with OPC there were no royalty fees or monthly marketing costs to cover.
I have built up some great relationships with my retailers. They all love our fast selling cards direct from the UK, which not only provides them with a unique product but also offers them an additional revenue stream without any initial outlay. I have found that the retailers do love the concept of consignment and the personal service we provide.
I enjoy working my own hours. It gives me the flexibility to be there for my young son, who loves having me drop him off at school in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon. I was never able to do either of these things when I was working 9 – 5 each day.
